On May 8th, the Natural Resource Funding coalition is having a grasstops National Call-In Day for ensuring natural resource investment in global warming legislation. We are asking organizations, organizers and people with relationships to their Members of Congress, to call in and speak with their member directly or his/her staff for energy and environment issues. We're encouraging all states to participate, but will be focusing our outreach around members of the Energy and Commerce Committee.

 

The ask is to pass American Clean Energy and Security Act (ACES) and ensure it invests an average of $7 billion per year to safeguard natural resources for people and wildlife. Attached are the sample scripts (both generic member and E&C committee) with further information on the National-Call In Day; we also have some specific scripts for specific members of the Energy and Commerce Committee. We will need your help to circulate the script to generate calls, as well as possibly make calls yourself. Please let me know if you can circulate these scripts to your grasstop network or if you have any questions. Someone from the "Safeguards" team will follow up with you if we could especially use your help.
