Images available for use

NWF has thousands of high quality digital images in the digital asset management system, Portfolio, and they are available for affiliate use!  The database includes photos of hunting & fishing, wildlife, scenic landscapes, NWF photo contest winners, habitats, people, birds, marine mammals, people connecting with nature, and so much more. 

How to Access Images:  The digital asset management system is located behind the NWF firewall, therefore Affiliates will not receive a username and password to access the system.  You must work directly with Karen Hignite (hignitek@nwf.org) or 703-438-6584 to obtain images.   

When you contact Karen Hignite she will guide you through the image selection process and let you know the specifics of how the image can be used (ie. payment required).  Some images are offered only for royalty free, some for rights managed, some for both.

• Royalty free typically allows use for an unlimited amount of time as long as the use is non-commercial; as long as you are using it to educate the public but not sell a product or service.  We do have quite a few donated images that can be used commercially, or for fundraising events.  And if the Portfolio system does not have what you need, we may be able to find it on websites we use frequently. 
  
  
• Rights managed means you will purchase a rights managed image if you want to use the image for commercial purposes i.e., for an ad or a product.
