General Sessions
America's conservation leaders highlighted the pressing threats to wildlife and our environment and the need for a revitalized conservation movement. Speakers included Larry J. Schweiger, President & CEO, National Wildlife Federation; Tom Gonzales, Chair, Board of Directors, National Wildlife Federation; tribal leaders and other conservation leaders.
Speakers:
- Dr. Whit Ayres - Political consultant; President of Ayres, McHenry & Associates, Inc., a public opinion and public affairs research firm
- Van Jones - Co-founder and Executive Director of the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights; national environmental leader focusing on green economic development for urban America
- Leilani Munter - Racecar driver and environmental activist
- Jess Sixkiller (Cherokee) - Chairman, Native First Capital Markets Group and Board Member, Gila River Indian Community Utility Authority
- Christine Wiedinmyer - Atmospheric Scientist, National Center for Atmospheric Research
