Volunteers

Volunteers are essential to non-profit success, and National Wildlife Federation wants to support the Affiliates in their volunteer related endeavors. By working with NWF's Volunteer Team, your organization can tailor a volunteer package to its own needs. Benefits of working with the Volunteer Team include sharing current NWF volunteers, learning how to recruit your own support, and most importantly how to recognize and retain these special individuals and groups.

NWF National Volunteer Opportunities:

HABITAT STEWARDS AND HOSTS

  • Lead in building wildlife habitats
  • Provide information about conservation and environment initiatives
  • Organize, plan and develop landscapes in public places and home settings
  • As a Host, volunteer help new stewards organize, build and maintain projects and serve as an information resource about gardening for wildlife

GLOBAL WARMING AMBASSADOR

  • Conduct outreach on behalf of NWF
  • Learn how global warming affects wildlife and share how small-scale changes can confront the problem
  • Educate others on what's necessary for wildlife survival
