NWF Affiliate Leaders Program

National Wildlife Federation®

2008 Annual Meeting

Affiliate Leaders Program

The National Wildlife Federation Affiliate Leaders Program offers a unique opportunity for new and emerging affiliate volunteer leaders to learn more about conservation issues and the NWF-affiliate relationship, as well as meet colleagues from NWF and its affiliates. By broadening participation in the Annual Meeting, we can continue to build strong and diverse leaders for NWF, NWF's Board of Directors and Affiliates.

Offering funding for travel, hotel and associated expenses to ensure participation in NWF's 2008 Annual Meeting in Keystone, Colorado, May 14 - 17, the Affiliate Leaders Program is intended to:

  • Engage and cultivate traditionally under-represented individuals in NWF and Affiliates, including gender, ethnicity, age and geographic representation.
  • Introduce new and emerging Affiliate leaders to NWF's structure, culture, leadership, decision-making, conservation vision and policies.
  • Infuse new voices and perspectives into NWF and Affiliates, via workshops, networking events and more.
  • Support and cultivate new and emerging leaders before, during and well after the Annual Meeting.
