NWF News

"Low Flows, Hot Trout"  National Wildlife Federation and the Clark Fork Coalition have just released "Low Flows, Hot Trout: Climate Change in the Clark Fork Watershed".  The report shows how climate change is impacting the Clark Fork Basin in western Montana and northern Idaho by affecting temperatures, precipitation, stream flows, fish and wildlife populations, and fire activity.  Learn more about the report and read a copy in .pdf form by clicking here.

NWF Joins Earth Conservation Corps in Cleaning up the Anacostia River  National Wildlife Federation staff from the headquarters in VA and Washington, D.C. office joined members from its new affiliate, Earth Conservation Corps, for a clean-up day on the Anacostia River.  The river runs through Washington, D.C. and eventually emtpies into the Potomac River.  One of ECC's goals is to restore the the Anacostia River in hope of improving the quality of the watershed and surrounding environment.  Read the full article here.
